SHOP APOTHEKE awarded “Brand of the year” for third time in succession.

In this year's ranking of the market research institute YouGov in cooperation with Germany’s famous business magazine Handelsblatt, SHOP APOTHEKE was the only online pharmacy to make the TOP 3 of the most popular brands in Germany in the “drugstore, perfumery and jewellery” category. The product range on 

 does not only include over-the-counter drugs but also beauty and care products as well as food supplements and baby products.

The market research institute determined for the „YouGov BrandIndex" the winner in ‘value-for-money’ based on data from over 800,000 online interviews with adults over 18 years of age conducted over the period of one year (01.09.2016 – 31.08.2017). The assessment criteriainclude overall impression, quality, value-for-money, customer satisfaction, willingness to recommend and employer image.

In addition, this year SHOP APOTHEKE was again awarded the Inspirato industry award and is therefore one of the online pharmacies which are best rated by industry partners.

SHOP APOTHEKE EUROPE is Continental Europe’s leading online OTC pharmacy with a portfolio that focuses on OTC medication and pharmacy-related beauty and care products (BPC). With the takeover of Europa Apotheek in November 2017, SHOP APOTHEKE EUROPE will significantly enhance its European market leadership with an expanded product range for the whole family. The combination will create the fastest growing integrated online pharmacy with pro forma sales of around EUR 318 m in 2016.

SHOP APOTHEKE EUROPE already operates online pharmacies in Germany, Austria, France, Belgium, Italy, Spain and The Netherlands. In Germany, the TÜV-certified 

 is the market leader in terms of traffic. SHOP APOTHEKE EUROPE delivers a broad range ofmore than 100,000 original products to nearly 2.4 m active customers (as of September 2017) quickly and at attractive prices. In addition, SHOP APOTHEKE EUROPE provides comprehensive and consistent pharmaceutical services.

SHOP APOTHEKE EUROPE generated sales of about EUR 191 m in the first nine months of 2017 and a growth of +53% compared to the same period last year. Headquartered in Venlo (The Netherlands), SHOP APOTHEKE EUROPE also has offices in Cologne, Düsseldorf and Tongeren, Belgium. The online pharmacy has been listed on the regulated market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (Prime Standard) since 13 October 2016.
